Difference between Mychron 3 or 4

Looking for a used Mychron tach. Can anyone tell me if there is any reason I should buy a 4 over a 3 ?

If you just want to monitor lap times, RPM, and engine temp then the 3 will be fine. If you want more than that you should look into buying the 4.
 
The 4 has more features, like the ability to compare lap times without having to flip thru all the laps individually, and you can look at the graphs on the tach screen rather than having to hook it up to the computer to see that information. The 4 has lights on it that flash to let you know when you reach your target rpm or temp also, while only the 3plus I believe is able to do that. Just more useable features with the mychron4 that you can access while at the track with just a quick glance at the tach screen, IMO.
 
Thanks guy's I appreciate it. I think the 3 will do what I need, it is for my sons kart. He doesn't even need to see it while racing.
