Does exhaust size make a difference between oval and road course tracks?

I have been searching this subject for a few days with no luck. We run an open Honda GX 390 class. I am trying to see if I need a larger diameter pipe for road course vs oval or vice versa. Can I use same pipe for both? Shape?

Does anyone know of a company that builds exhaust for the Honda GX engines?

Doubtful that you would run a different one for each. Whatever is best will likely be better for both
