Electric race kart question

I have a friend looking to build an electric go kart. Are there kits/parts to convert a gas engined kart to an electric one?
Motor, controller, potentiometer, etc...
 
Fun kart or real performance? If fun kart then there are several kits on the market. If looking to go extreme then the selection is more on the piece together side
 
Did they give an indication of budget?

Ghost Racing are working on something that's more around the world formula performance level, not sure on pricing there but I understand the purpose of their project is to offer something that's more affordable.

Ghost Racing is working on a drop in package. 0 frame modifications. Bolt on with regular engine clamps. Battery is where the fuel tank goes. Very cool package.

Call Matt and tell him to hurry up with final mount design. Everything else is production ready.
