I just changed out a receptical in the bath . The new one was 69 cents the old one had a tag 33cents . It can be no newer then 20 years and possibly twenty eight years .
Doubled in price in twenty years not bad .

Remember when "Made in Taiwan " was a bad thing?

Overall, I believe quality of goods offered has improved.

Made in Japan is now a good thing . Of course it's gonna be old .
So no made in america on either receptical . No indication of point of origin .

I should probably update the house . It got not one gfci .three outlets on the kitchen counter , two in each bath . Was rehabbed before me . So minimum 3 electric hacks . gfci circuit breaker would be the answer .

The kitchen ones may be connected in series so you could probably take care of all of them with one new GFCI.
