I would be happy to go back to the flathead days when there was only one motor and one set of rules. the problem now is 3 sanctioning bodies and the tire companies running the show. NKA, AKRA, WKA, Maxxis, Burris, clone briggs predator etc etc. The builders priced the animal out of competition. now they have priced the clone out . the l206 is already in the builders hands building the head and they now run $1000.00. AKRA and NKA will have to eat each other before anything else happens so far the predator has been an outlier to any sanctioning body and is consuming them all.So who is supporting the local track? China and harbor freight? I know im in the minority but the Animal engine is the best engine for kart racing. 2 years from now everyone will be running the next "CHEAP" engine package and go down the same stupid road again. Let me be clear, The predator is NOT a racing engine and the clone is a poor excuse for one. Worst thing that has happened to kart racing is all of the different cheap engine options trying to make it affordable. I will never ever run a predator or a clone. Flat heads are ok, animals are the best.
