The Charlotte Sprint Car track will be reconfigured to give us a track that is approximately 1/3 mile in length. This should make for a very fast track!! They will be bringing the turns down to shorten the existing dirt track. (Existing track is .4 miles)

This is going to be a very fast track!

We will be responsible for the following:
1. Supplying our own trophys/awards for each nights events.
2. We will pay the same entry fees as the other competitors.
3. We will race safely. (this is going to be a fast track)
4. We will supply our own personel to do pre-race and post race tech.

We will be racing under UAS rules....including open tire. Big thank you to Maxxis Tires for allowing us to run open tires. As you all are probably aware Maxxis Tires has forked over some big $$$ to sponsor (Prize Money) this event. It's their goal to sell tires. That's why they do it. So we all owe them a thank you for understanding our own dedication to the UAS rules and allowing the use of any tire at their event.

The Race on Friday 6/21 will be a makeup race for the CUAS (Race #2 was rained out) $500.00 to win Gauranteed!!

The race on Saturday 6/22 will be a National 1/4 point race. $1,000.00 to win Gauranteed!!

Guys and gals this should be a really fun event. We are expecting it to be one of the largest crowds of spectators ever at an UAS race. There will also be lots of racers from the asphalt track that will be coming over in the evening to watch our features. Who's name are they going to remember?

Thank you again WKA for reconsidering.

NCUAS here....

We will use Fridays race as our Race #2 that was cancelled this weekend. That race will pay $500 to win Guaranteed, The purse may grow depending on what WKA or Maxxis does.

Saturday’s race will be Our Race #3 as scheduled. This race will be a 1/4pt Race also Guaranteed $500 to win with NCUAS sponsors and this will also go up with other sponsors that are planning to come aboard to truly make this a great race!

*** Also bigger News for Saturday’s race coming soon! Stay tuned!!!

You will be able to drop trailers (Not sure what time) on Thursday 6/20. Usually gates open at 7:00 am on both race days. Practice typically gets underway around 9:00 am both days.

Spoke with WKA Chairman of the Board and Director of the Charlotte Dirt program Michael Tetreault. We had a very good conversation regarding the UAS.
We will be racing in The Historic 1st Annual Charlotte Dirt Race both days (6/21 & 6/22).
We have assured him that we will get the UAS karts there.

Who else is in? This track is going to be fast. And lots of fans to watch the best class in Karting!

Reminder 6/22 race is a National 1/4 points race.

Mackie Flood began working the race track Tuesday. He began grooming the lower groove of the turns and rolled the track in his truck in what he believed to be the racing groove. It rolled out .3 mile. The track looks to have straights that would be approximate to Possum Kingdom and corners that would be sweeping more like Patriot. I think the track will be similar to Whynott where the UAS Grands were held and maybe not quite as fast. Mackie Flood and Chris Harris both had live videos on Facebook when they were working the track Tuesday.
