Exhaust pipe with muffler or not?

Among my rivals, some people use a short pipe without a muffler. But I am using a pipe with a muffler, but I am thinking of using a straight pipe without a muffler, but I do not know how long to use the pipe? There are no restrictions on sound in our class.

If its runs fine now . I would just cut the end cap off . Gut the inside .
Then make an end cap with an outlet too try as well .
Typically longer is more torque , shorter is top end .

Thanks, I thought so. But I have a muffler without packing, there is a perforated pipe and space inside, I thought that this would be the best option.

Another option would be a split pipe , offset .
So out of the lead pipe into the chamber then out of chamber into outlet .
With no packing is it still loud ?
