extreme head skimming???

I'm having heads for my 14hp 8500rpm gx200 tuned motors skimmed to 90 thou, so the resultant head thickness is 71.6mm

But it looks like more can come off.

With a 90 thou skim the heads deck-face to plug tip is 1mm.....and when I stick lumps of plasticine/putty to the piston crown the squish height of the valves is quite safe at 4mm.

Is a 130 or 140 thou skim realistic?

.........Can you put my thread back in the clone forum!!!....i don't use predator heads its just a gx200 head, exact same as the clones.

I think most weld the head and then don't have to mill so much off to obtain the chamber volume they want. Milling that much could be dangerous... piston to valve clearance gets to be a major concern.
