Dan Kapuscinski Motorsports Promotions - OSWEGO, NY (September 11, 2019) – A fantastic weather forecast for Friday evening in Oswego is helping to attract the area’s top kart racers for the Fall Frenzy 100 presented by Dan Kapuscinski Motorsports Promotions at Oswego Kartway.
The Fall Frenzy 100 for PRO Clone 360 racers will join Oswego Kartway’s regular racing lineup on September 13, with action set to begin at 7 p.m.
Among the expected entries for Friday’s $500 to win event are former 100-lap winners Thomas Montgomery, Chris Natoli and Dan Kapuscinski.
Montgomery won last year’s 100-lap event at Oswego, taking the lead from early front runner Dan Marsden to grab the win. Natoli crossed the line in the third position followed by Dominick Cianfarano and Seth Perrin.
Natoli, the 2014 champion, is the only driver to compete in every Fall Frenzy event since 2013. In that time, Natoli has racked up an impressive four Top 5 finishes.
Kapuscinski, the inaugural winner of the Fall Frenzy 100 in 2013, will be back in 2019 for just his third Frenzy attempt.
Kapuscinski’s last effort in 2017 resulted in an 8th place finish, one-lap behind the leaders.
Marsden will be back behind the wheel again this year and will also add three other drivers to his lineup.
Oswego’s State Clone Heavy track champion Devon Tonkin, Weedsport feature winner Madison Myers and defending Atlantic City Gambler’s Classic Champ Kart champion Doug Stearly will join Marsden on Friday evening.
Another indoor hot shoe will factor into the field on Friday, as Ryan Kendall makes his return to Oswego. Kendall finished second in last year’s Indoor Auto Racing Champ Kart championship.
Jeremy Tuttle has not competed at Oswego all season, but will be back on Friday driving for George Bark and GEForce Racing Chassis. Tuttle is a former winner at Oswego, but has never competed in the Fall Frenzy 100.
Kartway track champion and Classic winner David Hackett Jr. will also be a driver to watch out for on Friday as he aims to make his first 100-lap start. Hackett won several main events this season at the Bullring and currently leads the Clone Light standings at Weedsport Kartway.
Other top Oswego regulars expected to be in action include Seth and Tom Perrin, Russ and Rick Crisafulli, Zach Mooney, Jordan Sullivan, Chance Weaver and more.
Oswego Kartway and Dan Kapuscinski Motorsports Promotions will pay a purse of $1,160 to the Top 5 finishers on Friday with $500 to the winner, $300 to second, $200 to third, $100 to fourth and $60 to fifth.
Bonus prizes of $100 will be awarded to fast time with another $50 to the night’s Hard Charger, each in Memory of James Shutts.
Performance Manufacturing will also ward $50 gift certificates to the race’s halfway leader and the first non-qualifier.
The Fall Frenzy 100 will be a big-pipe, open clutch, PRO Clone 360 event. Drivers in PRO Clone 360 must also run a second class during the night.
Two-lap time trials will lock in the first 10-positions of the 100-lap main event, with a B-Main to transfer four more karts to the finale. From there the highest driver in Oswego Kartway’s State Clone Heavy and State Clone Light points, that did not qualify, will be added to the field to make a 16-kart lineup. Provisional starters must run the B-Main.
The Fall Frenzy 100 will contend over 100 green flag laps. Caution laps will not count and there will be no halfway break.
A $60 entry fee will be required. All Oswego Kartway rules and regulations will be followed.
Pit gates will open at 4:30 p.m. on September 13 with a drivers meeting and hot laps to follow at 6 p.m.
