FanVision - NASCAR

I'm planning to take my son to Daytona Speedweek.

I wanted to rent scanners for the week, looks like the FanVision scanner which has both audio and video are popular.

Any feedback from someone that has used this scanner?

FanVision is pretty neat. We've used (rented) it in the past at some events and enjoyed having it. Racing Electronics was the supplier and handled the rentals and most of the operation of FanVision in the past. Sprint took over everything in 2014. We only seen FanVision at events with Cup (and Nationwide or trucks) were at in 2014, never stand alone Nationwide or Truck only events (which we do also attend). We opted to purchase RE Scanners and headsets, as we can use them at all NASCAR races as well as other series.

We'd of purchased FanVision if we had more use options for it. For us, the scanners made sense.

For a single event weekend, like your Daytona trip, I'd suggest renting a FanVision setup. I think between you and your son, you will enjoy having. The extra features and video are nice!
