Flathead Class

Most tracks in the midwest have combined flathead classes to one adult class @ 360 or 375#.
Car counts are still decent in that one class, especially if some money is thrown their way.

Plenty of people still own flatheads, but choose to run the clones because that's what the tracks are paying more for.
The clone has replaced the flathead as far as popularity and number of classes.

I'm with you, clones are not for me, but it's the direction many have chosen for our sport.

FWIW, we've been building a LOT more stock appearing, limited, and open flatheads the last couple of years now.
Limited and open flathead car counts are probably better at big races today than they've been in the past 10-15 years.
Kinda cool really.

Dumplin Valley and Ashway both have a flathead class in TN, and there are several in Ky that do
No they dont hate flatheads, clones are where the crowds are, that and clones dont have to be rebuilt after 1/2 a season to the sum of 250-$350
When the flatheads are used up what then?

Low Country Kartway in Aynor, SC and Triple T backyard series in St Paul's, NC has flathead classes.
