Wondering if my carb diaphram needs replaced? I installed a New diaphram at the start of Last Year 2020 for Little Eldora. China Flu came along so engine wasnt raced, is the diaphram still good or need replaced. Hoping to run this engine this weekend.

Did you run any fuel through it? Take it out and look if it's still flat and has preservative powder on it, same as new.

If it's never been started, it should be just fine, Jamie.
If it's had alcohol fuel through it, the it is probably dry and hard now.
Easy and cheap to replace just to be sure.

The diaphragm is the fuel pump on a flathead -- it pumps way in excess fuel that the engine can ingest. It is only necessary to replace it when it stops doing it's job. We replace ours only when the engine gets rebuilt, or if the engine has sat for a very long time after running alcohol.
If the engine is hard to start because it's not getting fuel - change the diaphragm.
