got a flathead ive been struggling with now for a week it doesn't want to start its a pull start I tryed blowing on cap still didn't work then I put a little allky in the carb still didn't start then I changed the diaphragm and spark plug was fine and cleaned the flywheel a little and still no luck this is a unrestricted engine 48 jet and 24fsu denso plug.

Does it have spark?
Coil bad, or too much air gap? Spark plug gapped correctly?

Is it getting fuel?
You mentioned blowing in the tank and pouring fuel in -- it should start and run on what you put in the carb by bypassing the diaphragm.

Is it even trying to fire? Do you have compression?

Internal combustion engines require three things to run -- fuel, ignition, and compression.
