ive been using royal purple oil and its my first year into racing and it seems to run pretty clean but it kinda smells like gasoline when it runs and i run on alky but i want to change to an oil that smells like an alchahol engine should so any suggestions would be great thanks

Car oils are not the best to use. They are designed to work in pressurized oil systems not the splash lube in a kart racing engine. Also they generally don't hold up well with alky. Find a good kart racing oil and stick with it. There are plenty to choose from. I like to use Briggs/Amsoil 4T.

Klotz KL 200 , This oil blends with alky, nitro, etc. and there is no carbon build up on the piston or head.
Good luck,

lawnmowers use the splash system and run car oil,as long as it will mix with methanol and no carbon its good, royal purple will splash to !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I always have to ask what oil do you run in your lawn mower ?

Car oil
Special lawn and garden oil
Karting oil
What two things are the same
