Flathead timing and coil question

What timing should I use for Lebanon valley speedway or just a general timing around 30 maybe?

Next question what offset should we put for our coil gap I know people were starting to offset it I just don’t know how much

Carlson posted his coil gap recommendations . Scroll down through .
Timing is some what cam or class dependent .
Also in the section "other" in engines .
Jimmy Glen has a very good tutorial on flatheads .

Proper ignition timing is dependent on compression, cam & valve timing, carb fuel tune, and exhaust. ALL must work together.
Considering that the engine is predictably low compression for WKA, we'll assume the other parts have previously been matched, and your timing could be set anywhere from 28.5* - 30.5*. I would suggest starting conservatively on the low end of that until you have some experience tuning.
