flywheel fins - illegal to remove?

Running in the AKRA BSP class. I bought a used flywheel (billet steel with plastic fins).
A couple of the fins broke off. I was going to shave them down and shave down the fins on the opposite side so it is balanced. Is this OK to do in AKRA BSP class?
Do you even have to run the plastic fins at all?
 
You can not shave down fins. Best to get a new fan they are like $2 new and many just have them laying around and will give them away.
 
I have a flywheel with the plastic fin ring! New take off! You pay shipping you can have it?
 
Some rule sets state the plastic fan must be in place but is non tech otherwise, meaning the blades can be trimmed or every other one removed. ****AKRA however, not legal****.
 
Magnum - thanks for the offer but the seller that sold me this flywheel is suppose to be sending me another plastic fin ring. The fins got damaged in shipping. I was going to shave down the broken fins and keep this one as a spare but it sounds like its not AKRA legal.
