We continue to find folks who will only do business online - ie online shopping cart. This is partially due to the use of cell phones while at work (able to text or access the internet, but not talk on their phones while on the job.)
But I think you are right, Todd, some people (especially our younger generation) do not have normal social skills needed to order something over the phone. I mean, you can order a Subway sub through an App. now!
I know we are losing sales every day due to not having an online shopping cart, but we like to make sure we're getting the customer what they "need" as opposed to what they may "want." (Engine tech, tire rules, explaining our tire preps, etc.)
Talking with the customer, we can learn better where they are racing, what they are racing, etc. to better meet their needs.
This generally prevents a lot of returns, hurt feelings, and much longer discussions down the road.
Our business is more labor/service oriented, so it doesn't lend itself real well to online shopping carts; but I can see where selling defined hard goods online would simplify things.
