C cmac Member Mar 31, 2016 #2 I had some friends that always needed to add weight back in the early days. They always poured shot into the frame like you discovered on your kart. Probably not the best strategy, but it worked for the day. Good luck on your restoration. CMac

J Jncyall Member Mar 31, 2016 #4 I found the same thing in my cyclone I rebuilt this winter. Had 19 lbs of lead in the tubes of the chassis! I can get in the light classes now!
