Fuel Lines

I got to thinking, has anyone ever put an fittings on there go kart for fuel lines or any fluid lines? I havnt ever seen this but has anyone done it or used like a braided line as there fuel line? I was just wondering if anyone had ever tried this.

I used 1/4 tubing with ferrules many year ago. Not for any reason except I had them laying around.

What advantage would there be. AN fittings and braided line would be cool .
No preformance advantage .
Braided stainless brake lines will rub the powder coat off if not secured properly .

I like being able to visibly see the fuel in the line.
