Gearing Decision

[MO Predator Racer]

I am running predator and I turned 5540 last time I raced in a predator with a header pipe, air filter, and 10.8 valve springs. I was keeping up with 1st and second place when I was in 3rd place. All 3 of us were pulling away from the others. I would prefer to turn 5300 rpm but I am afraid if I change the gear ration it will be hard to get going on the restarts. I am running a 14/60. Would it be wise to change the gear ratio to turn 5300 or would I be giving up speed on restarts? Also it probably isnt very wise to turn 5540 with all stock internals and stock flywheel.

You'll be better in the end changing Ratio, drop it to 14/58 and bounce your body up and down in the seat to help get it going

He’s saying are you sure it was gear or were they faster in the turns.

I was able to keep up with 1 and 2 and I was just as fast as them but my kart was turing 5540rpm.
