As a crew chief I often find myself 2nd guessing an approach to a track and really looking for general advice from the experts on this forum to point me in a good starting point. Found a new track to race at and struggled this past weekend in our heats, found some speed in the feature but were still a bit off from the lead pack. Finished 6th out of 17, so not a terrible result but certainly wish we were a few spots better.
We run in Jr2/3 - Blue Plate clone. Current Chassis is a Triton Jr and it has been scaled properly.
Track = Golden Spike in Blue Earth, MN. Here is a good pic of the track for reference:
As you can see, the corners are fairly flat in nature... It's listed as a 1/8 mile but I want to say its probably a little bit bigger than that.
What we run and where I started from:
If anyone has any recommendations for me or need more info (have question), all ears. Going back on 7.2 for a double show and hope to see some improvement.
Thank you!
