Our next race will be 1/5 mile momentum track with Burris 33a tire rule. It will be hot lap, qualify, feature. 10 groups, we will be 7th. Forecast no rain for 2 days prior, high 70’s low at night 48. Racing starts at 2pm. Purple plate. Here’s what I know. Senior class typically runs 14/62, 2.5/3.5 air and 1.5” stagger. We are rolling out a new engine. Where should we start as far as set up

First off if its 1/5 mile momentum you should not need 1 1/2" rear stagger
1 1/8" max. Start it on 14/59 run 1 lb min
More air, if your set up is normally good it will be ok.
Do you know if sr are prepping tires

Yes they prep. It’s typically a 33b track. So I expect aggressive prep

Hot laps starting at 2 I would expect racing to be much cooler temps. Dont be afraid to get aggressive with your wiping if the dew sets in.

I'd only be wiping aggressive on 33s if it's really moist, or stays moist slicked over no grip, long time between 2pm start and dark, if dew comes back later then maybe aggressive, no one not racing there can tell you exactly what to do or be prepared for 100 %, the more moist would the better chance of using heat.
