Hi, I am working on my nieces microd it has a gx120 on it. She has run it a few times and it doesn't seem to want to rev as high as the other cars. The way the previous owner had the throttle hooked up we thought the governor was still hooked up and that was the problem. Took the motor apart tonight and found that they just left the shaft up through the block to use for the throttle linkage governor gear has been taken out already. Checked valve adjustment and they are right where I run my son's. Any ideas as to why it doesn't want to rev up, we even changed gears and that didn't seem to make much difference?
