This weekend I had the opportunity to help out at my local big car track. Originally I was going to tag team the announcing with another guy, but ended up having to hand score after the transponders system quit working. Let me just say this, to anyone who is upset with the score keeper at your local track, go do their job. Go hand score for one race.
I think you will quickly understand that it is not as easy as they make it look. If you find it easy, find a place with lap down cars, and then try to keep it straight. You should never complain about track management until you have to do it. I hand scored 38 cars, that was hard enough. I cant imagine hand scoring for 100+ karts whose numbers are too small to read.
