Help with choosing a clutch (Inferno).

Hello! Dear forum members!
I have a question about the clutch.
I want to use an Inferno clutch! But I'm not sure which one is right for me; I'm worried about the engine's power damaging the clutch!

To get a rough idea of my clone's power, I've described the specs; I use it for karting. My gear ratio typically ranges from 4.2 to 5.5, depending on the track. My weight with the kart is 375lb (170 kg).

I've decided that the Flame or Fire clutch is right for me. What do you think?

my spec clone
72х58
PZ27 carb
Head 16cc
exhaust straight pipe
Champion HD Rockers Arm
37lb spring
27.5, 25 mm valve
Bilet rod
Thin head gasket
.285cam (NRracing) 285-0211

In case it's important, we use a 219H chain. Sorry for any errors, I'm from another country and so I'm using a translator.

In my opinion and from personal experience, either should be OK as long as you use the correct springs to match the engagement RPM to your motor's peak torque.

I used the Flame for 8-10 years on the West Coast with "clone" builds around 14-16 hp without any issues.

In my opinion, the Flame's all metal shoes are less susceptible to irreparable contamination than the Fire's friction material lined shoes.

The lower cost of the Flame is a factor as well.

The Flame for me as well .
I do not like the fiber shoes.
If driver selection is important .
The 219 drivers may be more readily available in the Buller style .
If so the a Buller conversion Drum
may be an option.

Yes the inferno uses a star style . Which is fine if you only need one or two drivers .
The buller is an oblong type which is extremely common here in the States .
Edit : if you need too borrow or Loan one .
Also as stated a couple extra cir-clips .

Just an FYI Hilliard offers 219 in16-22, 35 in 11-23. A lot of sprint guys prefer them. For example Ignite doesn't allow the bully conversion.

On most of our racetracks, 14 teeth in the front is enough for me. So, I'll likely use only that and change the driven gear on the rear axle.

Sorry, maybe I misunderstood you, what do you mean by additional clips?

Hello, fellow forum members! Could you please tell me, I'm assembling an Inferno Flame. Should I apply grease anywhere? To the sprocket bushing or to the brake shoe guides?

Also, my set only has white and black springs. I want to start with two white and two black, without any additional weight. Or is it better to start with all white and then increase as needed?

Keep in mind that because of the heat generated in the clutch the grease melts and if overused can create a slippage mess if spread far enough. I don't know what the optimun lube is but Bully recommended Vasoline so that's what I have always used. No problems. It could be that the amount of grease is the defining factor.
