hemi governer

Stretch or shorten the spring, which ever you need.seems stretch would be correct, not done much governer work but removal.

If you look where the governor arm is bolted to the shaft coming out of the engine, you'll notice a bolt there. Loosen the bolt, you can pop off the arm/lever and slide it back on in a slightly different position to get a little more rpm before the governor starts kicking in sometimes, if you can't get the extra rpm by playing with springs

5300 is about all the RPM you are going to get with a STOCK predator with the governor removed.
The stock motors I have ran will run around 5350 to 5400 RPM tops. If others are running more than 5400 rpm, they got a real good one out of the box or they are not running a stock motor.
