Holloway Parts

Haven't heard about a Holloway rod in a long time, We ran them in opens and never broke one. I've still got one I ran, somewhat of an I beam with big rod bolts compared to a Horstman. Holloway dropped out of the scene quite a while back, don't know what happened with them. They go back so far that it may need an older pin to crown height to make it work. What's the length of it? Jon

Think its a 4.425 Jon. It was in some misc. parts I was looking at
buying. There was so much dust on the packaging it was
hard to tell. It did resemble the Horstman I beam rod.

Bill Holloway was his name from South Georgia. Made billet rods and flywheels back in the 80s and early 90s. His billet flywheel saved the open class when WKA outlawed the stock flywheel and the Horstman battery ignition proved unreliable. Former racer himself, but haven't heard from him or anything about him in 20 years or so. Still run his flywheels on Opens.

Thanks. Looks like the ARC flywheel is the only one thats still
being made now (to the best of my knowledge). How
did those rods hold up?
