honda cam vs cl2

my first rebuild, just a rebuild. crank was wrong length because it had a gear box. purchased the clone crank and a cam,... cl2, measured it up just to see what the difference was... I can't seem to see much of a difference.
my stock cam measures 1.88 and a base if .865
the cl2 is 1.1 and .870
will this make a difference or are maybe my measurements off a little..
same rod and piston, just rings and things..

can someone tell me if the I'm close on my measuring of the cl2.
any advice on build would be greatly appreciated.

Is the above a typo? if your stock cam has a .865 base and high point of lobe to base is 1.88 you would have over 1" of lift at the cam.

With those measurements I would go with the Honda cam and cut eyebrows in the piston, using a sheet of 3/4 plywood for head gasket.
