How do you check your front spindles with an angle finder to see if they are still good and not bent

visual is about it. the axle part a straight edge. If you think they are that's a good indication.

I machined a piece of tubing that is a snug fit over the spindle. If the tube goes on hard or not at all...it's bent.

If the hub doesn't slide on easily or it takes a lot of adjustment to get camber set, you might have a problem.
