hp numbers

As has been pointed out, where you make that HP (in the RPM range) is important too. I have a term I coined called "under the curve". Which means; how much total horsepower there is under the curve that your racing with. My dyno sheet includes this feature. There are cams that will make good horsepower on the top end, but lack good low end, in the range your racing in. The operating range of these cams is outside the range your racing in with that engine.
