Got a couple sets of pinks and blues. Used they need sanded or scuffed before I wipe them, any recommendations for a quick east way to do it ? Thought about a flap disc on a grinder?
 
Yeah something else I should have mentioned, you're gonna want to sand them wet to keep the tire cool. Plenty of different things you can use but 50/50 simple green/water works well and seems to be one of the top choices for most people.
 
To re finish a Maxxis, lots of the top guys in the sport just do it by hand, no flap disc grinder, no belt sander. Just hold sandpaper by hand and that way you can feel when tire starts to get hot.
Need to definitely use something to keep tire cool, at least until you done a few hundred and get a good feel for how to do it.
