French racing driver Hubert Auriol, 3 times Dakar Rally winner and 1st to win on both bikes and cars, passed away this Sunday. This French driver was a real legend, especially for bikers. Not only he won the Dakar Rally 3 times, 2 of them on the bike class, but he also became the Race Director for this event and wrote a very interesting book about this race, including his experience after a wreck when he was fighting for the lead one year with just a short distance to the finish line, breaking both his ankles and still driving to the finish line in tears.
