I like the sound of this thread.

You can gain some flow by just opening up the seats/ports you have out to where the valve seats. Then grind the OD of the valves you have down to where they seat(magic marker, lap in, cordless drill and pedestal grinder) Good eyes help also.(something I've lost with age)
 
If your really brave and keened eyed, you can change the angle under the valve head to remove material up to the seating ring. Drill press and a small file. Blend back into the radius.
 
One of my first mod clones I opened up both valve seats .050. 27mm intake valve & 23.5mm exhaust valve. Works great, don't have a Dyno or flow bench but the 206s don't like getting passed. That's good enough for me. Still running the motor, try to run it around 8500 rpm.
