If you had a choice of open engine you would choose?????

RWYB class

If ever UAS class was to increase the cc limit to 650cc I will be buying 2 of those motors in a heart beat. We are racing with the KTM 450 cc now and also Biland 250cc.
The BRC150 is nothing compare to this MONSTER

450'z arenice but lots of work involved toget them on a kart

No its not. That 450 is 10 times cheaper than any open motor. We can run them 50 hours before changing oil, and 3 years before a rebuild. Most open motors run 1-4 races and have to be rebuilt. The 450 is the cheapest motor for the hp you can get. Here is 2 vids of my 450 running.

Nice Paul, will you be runnning it at Ashway or The Dump.? would like to check it out, see if my 450 has found a new home lol

I like the CR250 with single gear drive concept. Plentiful parts, good power for the money.
RUBIG makes big power, seems to have a broad band, but not sure how the linear the throttle response is. Plus, its kinda ugly and goes against what a kart should be IMO. Kart should be reasonably simple and light. RUBIG with that big hunk of a piston is a bit weird to me. Can't argue with the torque though, no sir. But you would expect some from a 650cc two stroke!
BRC150 is a work of art, it's NOTHING like a hopped up MX engine at all, more of a refined KF motor.

I am going to try and get ahold of Steve to see if he will start a uas series at dvr. We will bring it next year to play there some.

The sprockets are just different from what most flat karts run. Outlaw sprints have been running the 520 gears for a longtime.
