Hey guys, just wanted to give a heads up for the upcoming Illinois Lightning Sprint Series meeting on Saturday December 21st, at the Jubilee Cafe at 11am. The Jubilee Cafe located just off of exit 82 on I-74 at 7203 N Kickapoo-Edwards Rd, Kickapoo, IL. I know there's going to be a few things to discuss, including our opportunity to visit some great new tracks such as Macon, Lincoln, Sycamore, Fairbury, Quincy and possibly more. There is also going to be news coming from a big meeting that was held by officials from all lightning sprint groups spanning from Colorado to Ohio. The meeting went well & even caught the attention of a pretty well known nascar driver. The purpose was to get all clubs together to bring a new era to lightning sprints by making it the most competitive and affordable class for racers of all budgets. On top of all that good stuff, with the help of some great sponsors, the ILSS 2014 point fund will be in the ballpark of $8,000. Plus a $2,000 to win indoor race at DuQuoin is in the works for Feb. 14th-16th. Much more still to come. If you want to be hard on the loud pedal but easy on the wallet, feel free to join, anyone is welcome to come.

ND74, no there is not currently a national sanctioning body, but like I said, all the clubs in the Midwest region are all working together to be on the same page. It's a start at least.
