Jacket Question?

If you don't have a nomex driving jacket, what can you use in place of it, mechanics jacket or some type of long sleeve?

Your jacket needs to be abrasion resistant cordura or some other approved abrasion material if running a flat kart. Nomex for fire protection only. I believe champs may require nomex?

Motorcycle leather jacket will offer the best abrasion resistance. Cordura will offer good resistance with tolerable temps. Nomex will hold off flames, if not contaminated. They also sell add-on leather sleeves for your right arm while wearing a cordura (nylon) jacket to prevent holes / burns from engine.
