ENGINE: Harbor Freight stock "out of the box" 212 cc motor (model 60363 or 69730 only) ... no Ducar (Dyno Cams) motors allowed. Only Harbor Freight motors sold as stand alone items are legal ... Predator motors from other Harbor freight equipment (water pumps, generator, etc) are not allowed.

All parts must remain stock, with no
modification or alteration except as noted in these rules.

No interchange of parts between engine models.

Governor must remain operational and retain all original governor parts/springs/linkage/and unaltered throttle arm.

Stock unaltered OEM air box/filter/pre- filter ... all holes to the air box must be plugged.

Fuel strainer must be intact and in position in tank filler neck.

Chain guard and throttle linkage are only aftermarket parts allowed.

Oil sensor may be disconnected.

Stock engine kill switch must remain operational.

Spark plug (type) is non tech.

APPEARANCE: Engine must outwardly appear as it did when it came out of the box, including color (factory black sheet metal/tank/recoil). No painting of any engine component allowed. No aftermarket advertising or engine builder stickers, markings or other identifiers allowed on any engine component (blower housing, tank, chain guard, top plate, etc.). All engine components must retain any original stampings/numbering ... no additional stampings/numbering/engravings allowed. No tape allowed on motor ... no taping of recoil or blower housing allowed.

ON BOARD TACH: An on board memory tach is mandatory for all karts in class ... at tracks discretion, engine(s) are subject to RPM check/verification with kart’s tach, or track supplied tach.

RPM CHECK: 4500 absolute maximum engine RPM. Engines are subject to check at the completion of each event (qualifying/heat/main). Karts will be placed on stand and checked as raced ... engine cannot exceed the maximum specified RPM at any point during check (Maximum RPM based on tach memory recall during check). Governors must be operational. Kart/engines will only receive one attempt at each check.

ON TRACK OPERATION: Throttle must be operated by throttle pedal and linkage. Driver’s reaching around and operating the throttle/governor by hand will be disqualified.

ENGINE CLAIM: Engine claim fee $125. Any competitor finishing in the original top five positions may claim any engine finishing in front of them ... no reverse claiming. In order to file an engine claim, a competitor must complete the race. Engines may be claimed only at the completion of main event for each weight class. Claim must be filed by the driver/parent/guardian of the kart before his kart leaves the scale. The driver/parent/guardian of the kart is the only allowed claimant. Any outside coercion to influence a driver to claim a motor will not be allowed. In the case of more than one claim on the same engine, the highest finishing position will have priority. No multiple engine claims allowed ... only one claim per driver/kart/event. Once a verbal claim has been filed, the claim cannot be withdrawn without disqualification for all OTB classes in which the competitor is entered. Claimed engines will be allowed to complete all main events in all classes in which the competitor is registered at time claim is filed. Claimed engines will be held in tech until the completion of the event. Engines are claimed as raced, minus clutch, chain guard, and non-stock throttle linkage parts.

FAILURE TO COMPLY: Refusing an engine claim will result in disqualification.
