Kill switch question

I have a buddy that won't run a kill switch. He claims it hurts spark from the coil. He pulls the spark plug boot off when he wants to shut it off. Anyone know if there's any truth to that

Actually, removing the plug wire is bad for the coil as it causes it to ground out internally. I prefer the switch. That's the way it was intended. Some say they have had problems with the switch, but I never have and I've ran the clone since it's beginning. I do change it once or twice a year.
