kings sr vs maxxis el?

I understand that the king sr tire is supossed to be more like the el but with a stiffer side wall which is a plus, but is the compound of the sr going to be just like the funky style rubber of the el or a good rubber like the normal king just a lot harder compound?

Tyler, the SR rubber is a little more forgiving than the EL rubber. It is more of a racing compound. It will wear some as you race it but not just so hard you cannot get any grip. The compound is more rubber in it than the EL. But it is still very hard (65 durometer).
