KT100 air filter

Was thinking about running a K&N filter with an outerwear on my stock blueprinted gas KT100. Can anyone here suggest the best size filter? Width/length

Not necessarily the best but on our kt's we ran about a 4 inch diameter and 6 inches long. Seemed to be more than enough.

Have you really tried using a small filter to compare? I don't really see any big difference performance wise and a good small filter should work better than a big low quality one IMO.

Do yourself a favor and get a Walker filter. Hands down the best on the market for any application and with proper maintenance, it will last.

Don't make it too big, it will break off unless you have support under the nose.

The diameter of the carb controls air speed, not the filter.

I believe the volume of air available on the bigger filter results in the lower air speed threw it . Just my guess .

The thickness of the manifold is more critical than the air filter lol later Chuck.

Good oiled foam filter. Let it rip. And if your on alky, your starter will thank you.
