Leaking Clone carb

Our carb is leaking gas out the inlet. Seems to run ok, but leaking out the front inlet where the air filter is attached. Any idea what is wrong or what we need to clean? Thanks

sounds like a high float level or trash between the needle and seat. A good way to see if the needle and seat is sealing is to remove the carb from engine remove float bowl and fuel then turn carb upside down and blow into fuel inlet line . If good no air will blow past needle . lifting float will allow air to escape.

Agreed , now couldn't you do the same with it attached to the engine .

New float and needle simplest solution .

Yes you can if you use your finger to lift the float up to the closed position....sorry but i'm a creature of habit and stuck in my way's LOL. I did not mean to complecate it for him.

Likewise plus I'm getting lazy . eeer .
Pull the fuel line attach a longer peice , blow in . If you can blow through it's leaking . Of course with fuel in there . Edit' start run shut off . You could get lucky and blow out whats in there . Or you remove the bowl and inspect , replace or remove carb .
