Basically they work on the same principle as a kart carb. They talk up about being high velocity but that is what a std kart carb is with the throttle bore/venturi ratio. I know some drag bike guys that luv the lectron carbs.
Look on micro racing. There is a gentleman very experienced with them on the 270cc honda cr motors. I beleive his screenname is uncle dicky. Either way do a search on there for lectron and you will find more info. Hope this helps.
The Lectron would need a pumper as they are not pumper carbs,
They are availble up to 50mm.
VERY easy to tune at least for WOT on dragbikes.
They were orginally designed for airplanes.
The go to guy on these, is Fast by Gast, http://www.fastbygast.com/Catagories/Products/description/lectroncarbs.htm in Grand Island New York, Paul is a major distributor of these and has parts also.
Lectron is a great carb. mostly a wide open throttle set up . I run 38's on my Top Gas Bike put them on and never touched them. But I do run a 36x36 Fuel NOS spread with high psi on the pump
