Let's see your race trailers . . .

If you have a canopy or tent you can hang harbor freight 48inch lights from it. I just use the lights on our trailer since it has lights on the back or hanging a nice big light off the back can be done for less than 100 bucks or hanging a nice light in your canopy works well.

Here’s mine I have a 24 ft and still working on slowly to get it where I like it, I want to build in tables to the tire rack to fold out. Got lucky and found a 5 tiers Jones engine stand that I had to cut down some to fit in it. I’ve built a war wagon that also a double kart stand and turns into a work bench and tool box.

Anyone have any creative ideas for outdoor lighting without breaking the bank? On my previous trailer I mounted flood lights off the back that worked well. Looks like we'll be pitting out of the side of our new trailer and am trying to find a more reasonable option than lizard lit lights or the bucket lights.

I've thought of buying some LED Low Bay Lights and installing on a telescoping paint pole.

The red trailer was the one that perished in the cow accident, had nice cabinets and such in the front and racks for 10 sets of tires. It was 7x16.
The replacement for it is the black one. Its 8x18 and was pretty bare when I bought it. In the process of wiring for 110v, painting inside, mounting tire racks and storage items. Should be done this week. I will update pics.

Making a little progress. Not willing to spend 900 bucks on cabinets yet so a school locker with shelves and a couple of tool boxes house our parts and supplies

How do you attach cabinets to the trailer?
I'd use self tapping sheet metal screws through the luan and into the framing z studs. Add a washer or fender washer under the head to spread load on cabinet and lessen chance of tear-out. Also use 2x screws you would for a house because this thing is bouncing down the road with potentially heavy loads.

I just bought a pair of Lizard Lit type 10 foot lights from a guy on Facebook. Did not come with the poles because you can buy a couple 10 foot pieces of conduit cheaper than you can ship them. Everything I needed, mounting pole brackets, lights, all fasteners and lights for 160 shipped. Still a lot of money but half the price of the name brand stuff.

with #12 self tapping screws into the wall ribs and fender washers inside the cabinet, same as the tire rack plates and 1/4 inch lag bolts thru the bottom of the bottom tool box into the trailer floor and angled aluminum strips mounted to the bottom box to keep the top box from sliding around.

from seeing lizard lit specs and watching their videos you can see these brand boxes piled up. these lights look and match the specs. i'm pretty sure this is what they are using. Grab some 1' emt conduit from hardware store and some flag pole holders and you should have the same setup for way cheaper. I'm considering trying it out next season.

Thanks Steve. I havent watched any of those videos but just this morning I stumbled upon the exact same lights you mentioned. Going to give it a try.

I used those exact lights to build my pit lights. I ordered 10 of them and installed 4 in my trailer which really brightened the inside up. Built 2 more sets of pit lights and sold them so it didn’t cost me anything but time when all said and done.

Did you you 4 lights(2 per side) off the back of the trailer or just 2? i almost think 2 on each side would be overkill.

I absolutely love trailer setup pics! From the most expensive to the least. All trailers rock and I appreciate all you guys. I first started back into this around May of this year. I picked up a new 6X12 for my son's kart. I really wanted to make use of every single inch of it. A lot of pics I saw were of larger trailers. Where we race at, I think I am the only single axle trailer! I first painted and epoxied the inside. I hope you guys enjoy these pics of what you can do with a little trailer. It works for us and I definitely don't have a ton of money in it.
Where did you get your prep shelves and black\red tool boxes at?..
