Lifan 22hp

Just a thought. Lifan has a 22 hp twin cylinder engine available now. Wonder what that would do when high torque is needed? They say that they are developing a 28hp and it will be out soon. That would get you out of the turns real quick. I can just see some drunk golfer doing wheelies.

I do wish I cud post a pic of my 3-wide (4'sneaks'), but....it sounds like it's time too start mount'n these puppies between the leggs....:)

I put an 18hp Briggs opposed twin on a yard kart once LOL. It was a torque god and would give you whiplash on the starts!

Thats interesting. The powered parachute guys are running 32 hp generac twins now. Maybe they could use the Lifan 31hp and save money.

I was thinking it'd be cool if they made a ~400cc clone that had the identical heads rods piston and foot print of a 196-212cc clone but a flat-twin with another cylinder forward and 1" output shaft. Smooth revving:)

I would like to see that run on a large dirt track. Geared right it would sling dirt a looooooong way behind kart.

I'm running a 420cc and it's a lot of fun, just think the twin would be smoother, lighter, and capable of more revs. Basically mirror the cylinder side of a clone block about it's crank centerline, larger crank with room for 2 rods, and install 2 of everything else. We can dream right?

Two cylinders at 420cc each is 840cc total. You may as well go ahead and run a generac 32 hp at 990cc. Now that would be some huge torque.

Still no one who has tried this engine. I would think that there would have been at least one person who has tried it. Are there other forums that may have info on this

Give me a chunk of aluminun and a couple of crankshafts and we're on our way...:):)
