LO206 Air Filter

is Modifying the air filter legal. the reason i ask some other racers i race against have cut the end of the filter to make it closer to the carb. I don't see an advantage to it j/w if its legal.

It would not be legal under the defined Briggs rules. It is most likely that what you are seeing is someone who has been overtightening the filter and the rubber splits. They have probably shaved it and moved the clamp in an attempt to salvage a perfectly good filter. It would be consider illegal in most areas, but you are right there would not be an advantage.
