Lo206 Head casting cracks

Hi Everyone
There is not a large amount of lo206 engines in New Zealand, however I have 3 new RT-1 heads and two second hand heads that look to have cracks from the spark plug holes to the inlet valve seat.
The latest two new heads I got have different date codes the second hand heads come off black trace seal engines.
Is it a common casting defect with the Briggs lo206 head ?
Does it cause any long term problems?
Cheers Geoff.

Looks suspicious too me . The center picture possibly cause a loose seat .
Wait and see what engine builders say .

I have seen what appears to be cracking on more than one head where the plateau transitions to the combustion chamber. I lost my pics but will take another and post one Monday.

Finally have a chance to post pics of the one I have replaced. I have seen this on a couple of others.
