Long shot

Can anyone tell me if this rod is a briggs rod? Got it in a buy out and was in a box of motor parts. The guy ran animal class and clone. The piston has a briggs stamp on the under side of it, the rod does not have any markings on it. Nothing tells me the piston and rod go together other than they came in a box together.

Sure looks like it . The briggs logo is a dead giveaway.
the arc wms rods are billet with markings on them designating maker , part number , length . They're unmistakable .
A obvious differnce .

thats a w/f rod.

That's what I was going to say -- it looks like a WF rod -- would be ok to use in an animal build. Many people use them instead of the ARC billets.
I, personally, prefer to use the beefy ARC rod with lead babbit bearing inserts, but to each their own.
