Looking for a Predator Ghost 212

if your racing, ask your local track which way they are leaning. You don't want to buy this if they all move to that.

It's inevitable. It's going to happen. Most local tracks have a 3 or 4 kart rule to make a class. All It's going to take it is enough people to buy them, bring to the track as a group and It's on like a grass fire with a 20 mph wind.

Burris Blue Grey Series has gone to the Dynocams Ducar 212. Burris Southeast tour is sticking with the standard 212 predator. The Carolinas are a mix of SPG predators (built to a certain degree) and the Ducar 212. From what i understand a certain prehistoric reptile cam company has a lot of sway as the big importer of Ducars. from what i understand they have been able to get kart tracks to fall in line.

high price of the motor with the other parts needed =$500. ain't gonna look good for the ghost especially when the 224 ready to race is less than $200

Kart racers already have everything that come with the accessory kit.
True but this motor is supposed to be for a (entry) class like predator already is. Predator has experienced people but also it is big for beginners and most beginners don't have the accessories needed. It is supposed to be a budget/entry class

predator racers around here TN the Carolinas, and Georgia don't have fuel pumps exhaust pipes kart fuel tanks filters etc etc because we run true box stock.. the Ducar 212 from Dynocams is essentially the same engine, a ducar 212, as the Ghost but ready to run out of the box and $280 less and is sold by a company that supports karting (and tracks) . this is just going to be another wrench thrown into the mix. unless AKRA, NKA or WKA make a ruleset for ONE of these engines the 212 box stock class is going to be a nightmare for the next few years. either one will take off or they will all go belly up.

Maybe Harbor Freight will come up with their own rules. 🤔🤔🤔

Also, I'd bet a 40 hr paycheck that even if they are a pure box stock racer, they can get their hands on pipe, fuel output, filter adapter and filter, very easily.

Could you imagine if this could be turned into a spec engine straight from the factory, how fast it would replace the headache we have now?

What’s the headache we have now? The fact that HF doesn’t want to produce the current $127 motor everyone currently uses?

Maybe The problem is HF wants to charge charge $300+200 motor+accessory kit for a motor they used to sell for $99

As a whole, it's not the same engine. Forget the accessory kit. Don't get hung up on that. 99% of the accessory kits sold will be to mini bike people. Kart racers aren't going to buy something they already have or can get their hands on easily, for a lot less money.

Do you tech? If not, spend some time in the tech and take note of the wide array of variances found from one current predator to the next.

Looking to purchase one of these, in what states have people found them in?
SKU number 57531. Call the closet Harbor Freight to you and ask if they have the item with that SKU number. If they don't they can look in their system and tell you the closest store that does.

It was just easier on the Tech men. The predator varied so far as clearances and tolerances it was a engine hard to tech.
