Recently purchased an "older" LTO dirt track kart.
Has a 6.5 hp (196cc) Lifan engine(sold as Central Machinery # 96549)
It has a never used 13 tooth Max Torque clutch, and a 57 tooth 2 pc. rear sprocket.

If standing at front of Kart the tire size are as follows:
LF. 11-5.50-5. RF. 10-5.50-5

LR. 11-7.10.5. RR 11-5.50-6

My question with existing clutch, and rear sprocket, and present tires, is this Kart race ready?

Thank you, in advance

Correct gearing is firstly determined by the size of the track and its condition- loose, slippery, or high bite. You will need to check with the track where you want to race to make sure theres a class that allows your engine. Also see what their tire rules are, you may not have what they require. Oval karts run 8 inch wide tires on the right side, a 6 inch left rear and a 5 inch left front. Wheel widths are 10 inch for the right side, 8 1/2 left rear and a 6 inch left front. If this is a boxstock class ask the track what gears the others are running.

Thanks for the reply...Am just getting into this sport. I do have permission to run on their track. Just want to see how it will work before doing anything else, as far as competitively

With out knowing actual tire circumference.
The lefts should be on the right .
The rights should be on the left.
Run it if it handle terrible switch the rears first then the fronts .

Best thing to do is post pics of kart so we know what you are working with. Include tire brand as well and what track you will be running
