What is a reasonable air gap between the rotor and the pads for an MCP system? I am setting up my first kart, an asphalt flat kart.

.030-----.050 total. so . 020 per side maybe .030 you don't want rubbing or excessive travel .

A good procedure to do after setting your air gap is to hold the chassis still and push the axle to the left as hard as you can while trying to spin it back and forth. This simulates the bearing shift and load when in the corners. Set the gap to tight and the brakes will drag when loaded.
